I've received a spam message from an email address that was banned or not allowed yet. How come?
   Two things may have happened:

  • Either your email software is pop3-configured (e.g. Outlook, Thunderbird, ...):

    The case being, a small change to your email software may be required in order to make sure that no spam messages slip through the mazes of the net.

    If you want to know how to do this, simply go to www.SpamEnMoins.com and sign in to your account.
    In the 'Settings' section, go to 'Email software settings' section you'll find out all the required info.

    However, if the settings are correct and you still receive spam, we see no other option than that the sender has been allowed in your SpamEnMoins account (see "Authorisations").
    Open the mail to check the email address of the sender. Then log in to your SpamEnMoins account and go to "Authorisations". You'll find the corresponding authorisation at the beginning of the list.
    Then, you only need to click "ban sender" to never receive emails from this sender again.


  • Or you check your emails directly on the website of your email provider (or your email software is configured IMAP, Exchange, ...):

    It is possible that you find a spam message that has just arrived in your Inbox. The case being, most probably this spam message has not yet been blocked or banned by SpamEnMoins.

    Don't touch the mail and sign in again 2 minutes later: you'll see that it has gone.

    However, if you sign in again after 2 minutes and the spam message is still there, we see no other option than that the sender has been allowed in your SpamEnMoins account (see "Authorisations").
    Open the mail to check the email address of the sender. Then log in to your SpamEnMoins account and go to "Authorisations". You'll find the corresponding authorisation at the beginning of the list.
    Then, you only need to click "ban sender" to never receive emails from this sender again.

    Note: if you found the message in your Spam messages folder, don't forget to deactivate the spam fighter function of your email software in order to make sure that no mail can be automatically classified as spam, since SpamEnMoins only handles emails that are in your Inbox.
